FIVE QUESTIONS WITH GUSTO ON THE GO
1) What do you love the most about what you do?
We love making people happy and what better way to do that, than by tantalizing their taste buds?! Getting to work with each couple through the planning stages of their wedding and creating a menu especially for them and their guests is such an honor for us. Every couple we meet is so unique and their vision for their big day is just as important to us as it is to them.
2) Briefly describe your philosophy or approach to each wedding.
We like to make hiring and working with a caterer as easy as possible. You won’t find pre-determined “packages” or limited selections when booking with us. Everything on our menus are listed a la carte so YOU can create the exact dining experience you want! Don’t see exactly what you’re looking for? We would love to work with you to come up with something different or a little outside the box. We have catered countless events, so we are sure to guide and advise you through the entire planning process. We take your desires and ideas combine them with our experience, attention to detail and precision in execution to bring your wedding day menu to fruition with minimal effort on your part!
3) What inspires you?
We both love to entertain, and that’s part of the reason we got into this business. Pair that with a desire to travel and it’s a story that’s still being written. A lot of our menu inspiration comes from amazing dishes we, ourselves, have experienced at fine restaurants across the globe or an experiment out of our own kitchen at home. Chris has a real talent to take a recipe or dish (from memory) and transform it to completely make it his own. Erin has an appreciation for simplicity and an eye for detail. We believe that dining should be an experience that evokes all five of the senses and remains a fond memory well beyond the end of the evening.
4) What do you love about working at The Grace Maralyn Estate?
Josh and Katherine are just the sweetest people! Since we are also a young(er) married couple who own and operate a small business together, we understand the level of love and patience it takes to not only work together, but create a successful business and balance that with family life at home. Having the opportunity to work with other vendors who are “cut from the same cloth” and value hard work and hold the same level of integrity in everything they do, creates an amazing team environment with the common goal of producing flawless events every single time!

Erin and Chris are a deadly combo. Chris makes complex and irresistible dishes look easy, while Erin runs the company in a professional and prompt manner that frankly, is hard to find these days. Their top-notch service, coupled with mouth-watering food will leave you wondering why you didn’t call them sooner. Honestly, we’re a little concerned, because every time they’re at The Grace Maralyn, they exceed our expectations… we’re wondering how much longer this can continue before we start questioning whether or not they’re human. 😉
